Nature Play

Nature Play

Children are stimulated by the outdoors and typically experience, over time, an increase in self-belief, confidence, learning capacity, enthusiasm, communication, problem-solving skills and emotional well-being.

Forest School and Outdoor Nature Play sets learning in a different context for children where they can undertake a range of practical activities and carry out small achievable tasks.

Every day is an Outdoor Nature Play day at Tiny Tots, where we make use of our extensive grounds and woodland to enhance children's enjoyment and experience.  Our staff ensure that the skills that children learn at Forest School are transferred into the nursery garden for children to continue to explore, practise, extend and embed into their learning.

Children gain skills and confidence through a range of activities;

  • Den Building – Encourages teamwork, manipulation of materials and use of tools.

  • Nature Arts and Crafts – Children use a variety of natural resources within their artwork.

  • Woodland Walks – Enables the children to have a deeper appreciation of the woodland environment and how to care for and respect the habitat.
